Just a reminder from the "Meandering in Marin" blog that there is no hike on Tuesday, April 14th, since the College of Marin is not in session. (We assume you will hike on your own rather than sitting at home and biting the heads off of chocolate Easter Bunnies). The next Tuesday hike will be on April 21st at Wolfe Ridge in the Marin Headlands section of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
Your other "Spring Break" option is to join Wendy for a free "scouting hike" out at MMWD's Soulajule Reservoir on Monday, April 13. (Details to follow via e-mail from Wendy). The fastest route for those living in the Ross Valley is through Fairfax (driving time from our usual carpool meeting spot at St. Rita's Church will be just under an hour according to Google Maps). Click here for directions from Fairfax to the reservoir. However, Google Maps thinks it would be faster for those living in San Rafael (or north) and even those coming from south of Greenbrae (e.g., Mill Valley) to drive to North and make the 45 minute drive to Soulajule from there, so carpoolers could rendezvous at the Park & Ride at the north end of downtown San Rafale or Smith Ranch Road. ( Click here for directions from Novato).
