Wendy's request for school fees for young Tanzanian orphans

As many of you know, Wendy has been leading safaris to Tanzania since 2014.  She is also involved in helping two schools and an orphanage there.  Right now she has started a youcaring website to raise money for school fees for four of the orphans. She met Samson Naftal Mbise in 2016, visited the orphanage in 2017, and will be visiting again in June 2018. She knows every penny will be spent to benefit the children.

The Story
Samson Naftal Mbise did not plan to start an orphanage. He is a safari guide. But when he found 2 year old Meshack abandoned by the side of the road he could not just walk by. In his words,"When I see children in the street roaming around and crying because they feel hungry and they don't have any body looking after them my heart breaking. The government doesn't care that children are abandoned, they are starving, they don't have relatives or any body to care them and give them medicine when they are sick. That's why I decided to establish the orphanage."

Now he has 11 children, 5 girls and 6 boys. He has hired a matron and 2 assistants to care for them, and a teacher to get them ready for school. His mother also helps out. Expenses include food, rent, medical care, and salaries. The orphanage does not have running water and needs to pay for someone to cart the water.

Because of the preparation they are receiving, the children who have started school are doing well. They scored between 87% and 98% on the standardized tests. Now the four youngest are ready to start school. I have already donated the $200 for uniforms and shoes. They need school fees and school bus money.

“We offer the children love and hope. We want them to grow up knowing that people care about them and believe each of their young lives matters. We invite you to join our "family" and help us change the world one orphan at a time. We hope God will bless you for helping us to help these orphans.”

These children have dreams. Vanessa would like to be a teacher. Prosper wants to be a doctor. Frank wants to be a mechanical engineer. Brayan is still deciding. School fees are $200/child for each semester. You can choose a child to sponsor for one semester or on an on-going basis. Or give any amount towards the school fees - every donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated!
